Why does Indoor Pollution matter?

One of the major and often least considered site of pollution happens at the sphere of home.

According to the World Health Organisation(WHO), a whooping 4 million people die prematurely from illnesses attributable to air pollution in the household from cooking with solid fuels yearly.

Also, more than half of the premature deaths dues to pneumonia in children are caused by the inhalation of soot from indoor air pollution. Furthermore, 3.8 million premature deaths from noncommunicable diseases are also attributed to indoor pollution.

What's more, we spend a large portion of our lives indoor - at home, in school, offices etc and therefore it is definitely something that matters to us and deserves our attention.

In the next few days/weeks, I'd be expecting myself to post on :

- Sources/Impacts/Mitigation of Indoor Pollution

- Geography of indoor pollution ( who/where does it have more impact on)?

- Does it REALLY affect us?

- Other fun facts ( Dangerous household items/ practices at home)

- Fact or Myths!

Stay tuned!
